Mike and I went out at 8am to the churros bar to find that on weekends it opens at 8:30. It was raining so we went back to the house only to return 30 minutes later. Mike got the choco sauce and liked the churros much more. I had a few dips and it provided some nice variety.
Back at the house we decided to the conditions looked pretty grim and decided to go up and do the castle tour. Great views up there and it was much bigger than I expected. At one point a whole town was up there. The audio tour was interesting. The great siege was ended when the well was poisoned with feces and dead dogs.
Around 2pm we were suddenly all hungry but Alpha was missing. He messaged us to go ahead and we went off to end up at the Italian restaurant. We messaged our location and then his phone died. He made a convoluted journey to find us. Alpha making friends all over the world!
The food was good and the the big Barcelona-Madrid match started. The restaurant kicked everybody out with the score 1-0 Madrid - the local favorite. We headed up to La Fortaleza and Paulo got us in to the crowded bar. Better not be a Barca fan around here!
Mike hating soccer, went back to the house and locked himself out by not knowing how to work the door. I was able to let him in remotely.
Madrid prevailed in a very exciting contest and everyone was happy. There was a shuffle after the game when some very tiny loud mouthed guy got into it with a much bigger guy. The little guy came back inside and the the bar staff threw him out.
We paid our bill and headed home. The time change was today and it was dark at a much earlier hour. Drinking since lunch I took a nice nap in the rocking chair. Around 8 I woke up just as Alpha and Albert were going out to get food and Mike came out of his nap. Young guys went out to eat and old guys went to bed.
