Did not get 4 hours of sleep before being wide awake at 4am. I gave up trying to get back to sleep at 5:30 and started putting my bike together. After that I still had over an hour to daylight at 8:30. I decided to walk over to the 6am bar. I got a nice greeting from my friendly bartender and he remembered my coffee order. I had a nice chat with a German pilgrim who was walking the Camino Mozarabe from Granada to Cordoba. He said there were about 4 pilgrims in his cohort.
On the way back to the house as it got light I saw the churros place was open so I had another coffee and churros. Again I get a nice greeting from the owner.
The first hour of daylight was not warm and I needed my shell. When I went for my ride I would have liked to have had my shell on the first downhill out of town but after that the temperature and weather where perfect. I did not ride far or long but I hadn't had much sleep but it was nice to get on the bike.
I did the short 15km loop north out of town to Charilla and back through Santa Ana.
The rest of the day was stopping by the lawyer's office to pick up my deed, buying more stuff at the IKEA in Granada. Yeah, more furniture building. Getting gas and having several forced naps.
I had a late lunch at 5 Guys in the mall because I was super hungry and lacking imagination. It was exactly like a US 5 Guys except the meat patties were thicker and not as smash burger crispy. The prices were about the same too. Pricey for Spain.
There was some pretty heavy rain just after I got gas as I came into town. It came quickly with lots of thunder rumbling. I can see us getting caught in the rain at some point in the next few weeks
I bought a set of light duvets for the beds as you need a little more than sheets now. This seems a pleasant time of year here but the weather is much more variable than in the summer.
